sql server 2012 - Access Amazon RDS from EC2 instance from differenct region -


i can access rds instance ec2 instance in same region. have amazon rds instance, example, running in california region. can not access rds ec2 in singapore region. shows me following error 'the underlying provider failed on open'. how configure it?

you should able this, need open rds security group ip instance connecting from. security group based rules work within region.
