Cannot connect to Reporting Services 2005 Server from SSMS -

we have sql server reporting services 2005 (ssrs) installed , running fine. can connect via sql server management studio 2005 using "connect -> reporting services" , "windows authentication".

when connected, can bring server properties , view permissions , see myself there w/ system administrator checked, not system user. fine because have no problem accessing entirety of server.

using same "permissions" dialog, use "add group or user" button add colleagues domain account (i have tried "system administrator" , "system user" checked).

my colleague cannot connect. gets following error message when trying connect:

title: connect server

cannot connect xxxxxxxxxx.

additional information:

a connection report server failed. likely, not have permission connect computer. should either try connect using report server url server name, or if distributed com users group exists on remote computer, verify member. (microsoft.sqlserver.management.ui.rsclient)

anyone know else need allow him connect reporting services via ssms?

note: can give him permissions reports , can view reports via ssrs website.

the microsoft link below has article summarizes connection syntax, operations, , permissions required connect ssrs.

basically, user connecting has assigned system administrator role. if doesn't work, need add account 'distributed com users' local group, should let connect via ssms.

see here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms159797.aspx and
