Installing GitHub for Windows -

i'm trying install github windows. tried installing normal way , got error:

application installation did not succeed. cannot locate application files on server. contact application vendor or administrator assistance.

clicking on details... gave me this:

i followed advice on this post , downloaded github-windows.s3.amazonaws.com/github.application latest version of chrome. when tried run it, got error:

application cannot started. contact application vendor.

from here i'm stuck. advice appreciated.

i'm on work computer, there may security settings blocking something, don't know that.

setup stalling @ around 85mb me, after repeated attempts. after trying these answers no success, the 1 found here 1 worked me. canceled, killed dfsvc.exe task manager (i'm using windows 10), deleted c:\users\{username}\appdata\local\apps\2.0, opened internet explorer (not chrome or firefox) , navigated exact url:
