path - How do I add a new toolbox to my already installed Matlab version? -


i need add toolbox matlab student version. know have download toolbox files, place them in directory , specify path. however, not quite sure have place files.

i downloaded 2 zip archives: 'symbolic math toolbox (common) 5.10' , 'symbolic math toolbox 5.10'.

  1. where have place them on mac osx mountain lion?
  2. how , specifiy path?

ok, figured out: here on mac os x mountain lion:

downloading files/ toolbox:

  1. login matworks account.
  2. click on name in upper right corner.
  3. go 'manage licenses' in 'my licenses' section on left.
  4. click on 'download products'
  5. select operating system (in case mac os x)
  6. choose option 'choose products , versions download platform(s) selected.' , click continue.
  7. select toolboxes want , click continue.
  8. a small window pop up. since have matlab installed don't want tick matlab. click continue.
  9. since didn't automatic installer working used manual download. click on 'try manual download.'
  10. download installer, , remaining files (2 per toolbox)

now have downloaded can continue installation.

installing toolbox:

  1. unzip installer file (if did not unzip automatically).
  2. place zip files (important) of toolbox inside installer directory.
  3. double click installer , follow the instructions.

note:

you might have enter file activation key. can redownload 'manage license' page (the 1 visited @ beginning) under 'activation , installation' tab. there click on 'get license file' , can download license file , copy file activation key.
