joomla2.5 - Joomla 1.5 to 3 migration -


hey guys ive searched everywhere can think of relatively simple solution :/

k predicament follows:

i need go joomla 1.5 joomla 2.5 or 3 (whichever easier) didnt build site did google template , compatible newer versions of joomla.

is there free way migration , pitfalls going have ready for?

i have looked sp upgrade(paid) , jupgrade paid?

what options? im hoping plugins compatible there no complex plugins installed gallery , normal stuff...somebody must have had before?

this not big deal unless using components no longer being developed. upgrade main site -

  1. download , install jupgrade existing 1.5 site (http://redcomponent.com/redcomponent/jupgrade). sure free version, works enough.

  2. when doing upgrade, make sure have preserve module positions. still have recreate modules not of them supported.

  3. once upgrade done, install new version of template, set default.

  4. recreate modules not automatically moved over.

  5. install necessary plugins.

  6. the last step tricky part. jupgrade not move component tables, supported components (k2, xmap, etc). unsupported components need follow instructions upgrading particular component. other option install component on new site add data manually though developers have upgrade path 1.5 2.5.

since original 1.5 site not touched in upgrade process, should able use if reference while working on new 2.5 site. once done, move entire file structure of old site in subdirectory , move entire file structure of new site root. if goes well, can migrate simple joomla site in few hours.

don't bother going 3.x, short term release. can upgrade 3.5 when comes out.

php - guestbook returning database data to flash -

i've been struggling problem long , unable make work, hope can me it. first, know php files correct , mysql database works fine. in flash, able submit comment database comments not display. did many tests such making returned_database flash separately , worked fine - can see old comments. long combine submitting 1 , returning 1 together, flash doesn't show comments more. put lower version flash effects on frame thinking doesn't collaborate returning flash, submitting flash works fine. since pretty complex problem hard me copy actionscript code because on different frames in flash. if has ideas fixing maybe can send file you?
