internet explorer - JQuery .change for Sharepoint Designer form dropdown list not working in IE, works fine in Firefox -


i have drop-down in sharepoint designer form has entries sharepoint list. list displays fine in both ie , firefox. in firefox use jquery on selected entry list , correctly split , placed in 3 fields hidden using css. same routine fails in ie. entry selected jquery code not execute.

i have read .change not working in jquery 1.4 supposedly fixed later. using jquery 1.8.x.

it nice if 2 browsers produce same results, otherwise application becomes bit less user friendly when remove functionality. workflow initiated uses 3 fields created dropdown entry. use nintex workflow , did not see enough nintex string operations reproduce javascript string commands using. i'll have write more code after workflow process complete 3 fields if can't ie work using firefox , jquery.

is there easy fix have not yet found?
